This was taken with a cell phone on the 4th of July. Violet borrowed ear muffs that are meant for a shooting range -- serious sound protection from fireworks for her little ears! The funny thing was that she loved them. She didn't want to take them off! I liked best how they squeeze her little cheeks together.11 July 2008

leach botanical garden
we had such a wonderful saturday! one of the highlights was going on an adventure in the botanical garden which is near our house. violet spent some sweet time relaxing in the ergo, and we got to explore the little trails winding through the trees and plants and wildflowers.

first camping trip!
this weekend we went to maupin, oregon and camped on the deschutes river with friends. we had a great time! violet loved being outdoors and she loved the river right outside our tent.
